Blood Donation, Phil drive-by and lunch at Irish Club
16 November
Our quarterly blood donation run was ‘bleeding great’ (sorry, I couldn’t resist).
It was a great day to help others by donating blood. A group of 11 starting at the Red Cross Donor Centre in Garran (with 8 donating blood or plasma), then a cruise down the hospital access road by 7 Toranas so club member #1 and member of the decade Phil, could have a look at the cars from his 9th floor window at Canberra Hospital.
Following the drive-by, a group of 12 headed for lunch at the Canberra Irish Club in Weston for a post donation debrief and meal.
A big thanks to everyone who donated blood, came to do the cruise-by for Phil (who loved it!) and/or came for lunch. It was great to both give back to the community (blood donation) and to a fellow club mate, and have a lovely lunch at a new venue – this is exactly what clubs are about!
Thanks to the club members that attended (and thanks to their friends who came along too!), including:

- Chris B and Sandra
