Joe’s LJ GTR
Bought my LJ GTR in 2021, I turned 60 that year & with all the hooha going on I needed to ‘escape’ so decided to buy a torana.
I looked at alot of toranas on sale but I had to narrow it down to…… what do I actually want, so I settled on looking only for an LJ GTR in red or blue with black interior that had not been chopped up.
Several months passed & while there were some potential candidates still nothing fitted the brief. Then, on a Friday arvo one popped up in Bindoon, north of Perth, wasn’t blue & not quite red but close enough. It was an older resto that was rundown & let go but a solid car which all checked out so decision was made.
Since taking delivery I stripped the engine bay, brakes, suspension & interior & replaced, restored or repaired everything that needed it……cut & polish on the paint & now have an awesome LJ GTR torana, not quite a show car but a very nice streeter.
