Canberra 2 Crookwell Charity Cruise

Canberra 2 Crookwell Charity Cruise

Sunday 21st October 2018

After stormy weather on Saturday and a bleak outlook for Sunday it looked as if we might not be going to Crookwell for the annual combined charity run organised by The Falcon GT Club. So we decided to see what the day brought  and go from there.
Woke up on Sunday morning and were pleasantly surprised to see the weather was on our side and headed off to Dickson College to meet up with everyone.
Around 30 cars turned up including 4 club Toranas and after a bit of small talk and a quick cruise brief we headed off for Crookwell.
It was a good run up the highway to Goulburn with everyone taking turns at leading the pack.
Once through town we headed to Crookwell and were suprised to see how  many windmills there were, how close to the road they were and how massive they are.
As usual we parked on the grass inside the trotting track where about 40 cars were already parked (including Rob C) and went and checked out the swap meet.
After that we sat around at the cars and had a bite to eat and a chat and decided it was time to go.
We had a smooth run back to Canberra through Gunning and Gundaroo.
Once again thanks to The Falcon GT Club for the invite.
Hope to see you at the next run.

Cheers,
Tony Morgan
