Meet and Greet @ Pine Island

Sunday 19th February we had our annual meet and greet run. For a change this year we decided to have the gathering at Pine Island.

The majority of folk met up at the Woolies service station in Hume at around 10.30am. There were 7 torry’s all up ready for the run down to Pine Island. Included was a new member in Chris with his family and their very tidy 4 door LC as well as an old member who had returned to the club after a small break having a family, with his lovely LC GT XUI replica. . Great to see another couple of ’little fella’s’ being loved and cared for by their dedicated owners. We need more of the ‘little fella’s’ in our club!

Anyway, we set sail for our destination at 11.15am. It is only a short 10-15 minute drive so was a lazy cruise on a Sunday morning. We arrived at about 11.30am where other members had already arrived to set up our plot.

Again we were graced with a glorious day weather wise. With the members all settled in, we decided it was time to crank the BBQ up and feed the families. My favourite part of the day LOL....

As usual it was a very causal afternoon with some folks taking the kids down to the river for a swim. Not sure on how warm the water was but the kids wouldn’t have cared either way.

At about 2.00pm it was time to pack up and head home. All up we had about 25 people at the event which was nice to see.

Looking forward to our next run in March for the annual Wheels cars show.
